A Life Well Lived
The Weekend
We warmly invite everyone to join us in celebrating the life of Liam Martin over a meaningful weekend of remembrance and Irish culture. Whether you attend one part or all, your presence is deeply appreciated.
The weekend will include a wake on Friday, where we’ll gather to share stories, laughter, and memories; a Catholic funeral mass on Saturday, where all are welcome regardless of faith or background; and a cremation ceremony on Sunday, offering a moment of reflection and farewell.
Together, we’ll honour Liam’s life with heartfelt singing, shared memories, and the comfort of family and community.

The Wake
As part of the weekend, there will be a traditional Irish wake, with Liam’s body present in the customary way—a poignant opportunity, offering a quiet space to pay respects and share memories in his presence.
However, if this feels too much for you, please know you are still warmly welcome to join the wake and take part in the celebration in your own way.

The Food
The weekend will also feature a vibrant array of street food and catering, celebrating Liam’s favourite flavours and the cultures he cherished.
In particular, we’ll pay tribute to the incredible care and compassion of his Nigerian carers, with dishes that honour their heritage and the profound role they played in Liam’s care.
Please RSVP so we can make sure to feed and water everyone.

No Flowers Please
Liam was an extraordinarily generous soul, always thinking of others. In his spirit, we kindly ask that, instead of flowers, you consider making a donation to the incredible care providers who brought comfort and dignity to his final months, or to one of Liam’s favorite charities, the RNLI, which held a special place in his heart. Your generosity would mean so much in honoring his legacy.
